The event will take place at the Philadelphia Zoo(!) and will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of activities including yoga, dance, stretching that celebrates the importance of movement in our lives.
Please consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me and don’t forget to invite your friends, family and coworkers to be part of this inspiring day!
Why Get Involved
The Parkinson Council is the premier local organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with Parkinson’s, their care partners, and families. The Council invests in research, education and programs provided by world-renowned institutions and innovative service organizations in the greater Delaware Valley area and strengthens their role in the Parkinson’s community by increasing the number of lives they touch each year. All the money raised here stays here in the Philadelphia area.
For the past six years, B-Lou's Crew has participated in the walk in honor of my mom, Betty-Lou Ormsby, and in memory of my grandfather, Thomas Ormsby. We walk in the hopes of advancing the treatments for Parkinson's, improving the quality of life for those living with Parkinson's, and hopefully one day finding a cure!
In 2016, I joined the Board of The Parkinson Council, and have been very active in programs to raise funds for the Council while increasing education and awareness of the Council and the resources it provides within our community. It is my mission to give back, and what better way than by supporting such a personal cause. Please consider making a donation to our team or - even better - walking with us, and celebrating the amazing members of the Parkinson's community!!
