Welcome to our A Walk to Stamp Out Parkinson’s 2017 Team Page for B-Lou's Crew!
This is our SIXTH year in the Walk, and we are thrilled that this year's walk is at the Philadelphia Zoo. Each year we walk in honor and support of my mom, Betty-Lou Ormsby, who has been kicking Parkinson's a$$ for over eight years, and in memory of my grandfather Thomas Ormsby, who died from complications of Parkinson's. You can read more about our journey with PD here http://www.courierpostonline.com/story/news/2016/09/30/marlton-family-fight-parkinsons-disease/91266086/.
In the United States, 50,000-60,000 new cases of Parkinson's disease (PD) are diagnosed each year, adding to the one million people who currently have PD.
Join our team for A Walk to Stamp Out Parkinson’s, a campaign that spotlights the disease and gives the chance to raise awareness and funds in the Greater Philadelphia Region. Your support will help The Parkinson Council continue their work to improve the quality of care and quality of life for individuals living with Parkinson's disease.
